Maddy Rose: Summer 2017

After our first RV Trip to Zion National Park, we all came home for Maddy's next summer trip. Uncle Ed and Aunt Jacque invited Madison to join them and Katie on an Alaskan Cruise from San Francisco to Alaska. Danielle and I were both excited and jealous because neither one of us have never been on a cruise or have been to Alaska. So, our little angel was the first to travel to the beautiful state and go on a big vacation without Mom and Dad.

In the middle of July, Ed, Jacque, and Katie flew into San Francisco as the ship left port from the Pier in San Francisco. Luck for us, cousin Logan and Hailey were out visiting for a couple of weeks so we planned for a day trip to San Francisco to drop Maddy off for the big trip.

The day before the cruise was ready to set sail, Grandma, Danielle, Maddy, Logan, Hailey and I all drove to San Francisco to meet Ed, Jacque, and Katie. We met Ed and family at their hotel and then walked around downtown, enjoying the sights of San Francisco. Below are some photos from the day.

As the day came to an end, we all grabbed dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory. Shortly after dinner, we gave our love to Maddy and wished her well on her cruise. This was tough as Dani and I haven’t really vacationed without her since she was born. We were so excited and thankful for the opportunity Uncle Ed and Jacque provided Maddy. Throughout the trip, Maddy shared beautiful photos with Dani and I and every now and again, we got to FaceTime her or talk to her on the phone. It was so nice to see that she was having so much fun.

About 9 days later, Dani and I drove out to San Francisco with excitement to pick up Maddy at the conclusion of the cruise. Of course, she had a blast and she also made a travel video. Watch below.
